ABC appoints international acquisitions boss

The ABC has appointed Anthony Mrsnik as its manager for international acquisitions and business development.

Mrsnik (pictured, right) spent nearly 12 years as director of legal and business affairs and general counsel at Showtime Australia and the last eight months as Foxtel’s special counsel, business affairs, movies and drama.

He was also Head of Legal & Business Affairs for 4 years at Grundy, plus 2 years as Legal Counsel at Southern Star.

Mrsnik also spent 6 years as a Solicitor for the ABC.

Earlier this year it was announced ABC would lose its BBC Drama and Comedy after a 50 year partnership between the two public broadcasters.
