Airdate: Banshee

Next month FOX8 screens the new drama from Alan Ball (True Blood) which stars NZ actor Antony Starr (Rush, Outrageous Fortune, Tricky Business).

This premiered on HBO’s Cinemax channel in January and has been renewed for a second season.

The series also stars Ivana Milicevic, Ulrich Thomsen and Frankie Faiso.

Banshee charts the twists and turns of Lucas Hood (Antony Starr), an ex-con and master thief who assumes the identity of the sheriff of Banshee, Pennsylvania, where he continues his criminal activities, even as he’s hunted by the shadowy gangsters he betrayed years earlier.

FOX8 on Wednesday, August 14 at 8.30pm.
