As tipped by TV Tonight, Big Brother looks set to launch on air Monday July 29 following The Block finale on July 28.
This is now all but confirmed given Dreamworld has pre-sale tickets on offer for the launch on Sunday July 28. The show has traditionally aired the day after its launch pre-record.
Big Brother is back for 2013! In honour of the unlucky number ’13’ the launch show will have you all doing the ‘twist’ as Big Brother sends his new Housemates straight into a curve-ball. What does this mean? Join Sonia Kruger and be the first in Australia to find out at the Big Brother Launch Show!
Tickets are selling for $30 – $40 each.

Wow that sounds good thanks for letting me know guys it is a shame that mike Goldman won’t be hosting it
Yeah, a very reputable Big Brother insider confirmed it on Behind Big Brother that a live show is returning this year.
Mike Goldman wont be hosting it seems too.
“I can confirm that those that liked Friday Night Games in past Big Brothers will be happy with this years Big Brother.
News is coming through that there will be a New Weekly Games Show similar to FNG.”
I did read the other day Dan, that they are bringing back Friday Night Live. So hope it’s true and not a rumour.
I agree with Carole too, it was terrible last year that we were an hour behind in Qld for the grand final considering that it is filmed here at Dreamworld.
Why couldn’t it have started here at 6.30pm so that we were live with other states where it started at 7.30?
Doesn’t make sense.
Bring it on hope there is Friday night live they could put it on GO or gem in the NRL states
Please give me something else to watch
exactly what @Carolemorrissey said
Thanks David! Love Big Brother!
As always you provide hot off the press info, which is why before I’ve even had breakfast I check your site, every single day.
I don’t always comment, I just thought you should know that your work is always appreciated! 🙂
Very generous thanks.
I wonder if the twist is that there is no twist?!? Twist-ception.
Now you’re doing my head in. Nice theory but would probably cheat the audience and backfire.
This year there’s going to be a twist?!? Oh how original.
If it flops this year, I think Nine will axe it..
I also hope they change the time this year when daylight savings starts. It’s ridiculous being in Qld where it is shot, but we are an hour behind the ‘live’ shows.
Hope there is a wider range of ages etc this year, it needs to be more interesting and please lets hope another bully like Ben doesn’t win this time!
Great news! Now that House Rules is over and The Block soon finishing I’ll now have Big Brother to watch.
Yay, looking forward to Big Brother this year. Lets hope there’s not another Ben like last year. He was horrible.
Good move launching off The Block finale, and it should get a good jump on X Factor, unless Seven decide to roll that one out earlier too. Presuming Australia’s Got Talent goes to Sundays, Big Brother could benefit from less padding out if it has a Monday to Friday schedule.
AGT is going to Sundays. Things may get crammed when we get to first eviction but no doubt Nine has a plan.
So excited!
I really hope it doesn’t flop and proves to be a ratings success.
