Showtime has renewed Ray Donovan for a second season.
The drama, which stars Leiv Schreiber as a professional Hollywood fixer is only 3 episodes old, but has already broken the record for Showtime’s highest-rated series premiere with 6 million US viewers across all platforms. It also became the network’s first drama to improve on its season 1 premiere.
“Ray Donovan is on track to be our biggest Season 1 show ever,” David Nevins, Showtime’s entertainment president, said in a statement. “[Creator] Ann Biderman and the extraordinarily talented creative team, coupled with the brilliant ensemble cast led by Liev Schreiber, have produced one of the hottest new dramas of the year. We are proud and excited to pick up another season.”
Foxtel is currently screening the series express from the US on Showcase.

I’m really enjoying this. Glad it’s been renewed.
I don’t dislike the show, but it’s not a patch on Dexter..None of the leads are likeable..a big mistake..
Great news – Ray is my new addiction.
Wonder how it’ll do without dexter to help it…
