2013-07-28_0112SPOILER:

Nine’s Block auction took place yesterday ahead of today’s grand final screening.

Over 200 bidders and spectators flocked to South Melbourne on Saturday afternoon to see the five apartments auctioned off.

On a makeshift stage, host Scott Cam introduced the five couples then after the introduction was filmed and some audience prizes awarded, dozens of bidders then flocked to their apartment of choice.

In previous years there has been some awful leaks of results ahead of the broadcast. So far that appears to be more contained, although Twitter did name one couple as winners.

According to Property Observer, the first insider reports suggest there was competitive bidding above the so-far undisclosed reserve prices with just a $4000 hammer price difference.

Meanwhile buyers will be initially asked to pay $8,935 annually, which is $2,234 per quarter.

It was based on a budget has been prepared by Body Corporate Services in consultation with the developer of the building at 142 Park Street.

Watercress Productions still retain the ground floor apartment.

  2. Yeh, someone has to pay the enormous insurance for the people to mow the lawns and weed the plants on the side if the building…
Why would anyone pay so much after seeing all of the problems, cheap fixes and freedom kitchens?
