Briony McRoberts, best known as Sam Hagen in the 1990s Scottish drama Take the High Road, has died, aged 56.
Police found the body of the actress on the tracks at Fulham Broadway tube station.
Agent Katie Threlfall said the “well-loved” and “vibrant” actress had taken her own life, describing the death as “unbelievably shocking”.
McRoberts also appeared on EastEnders, The Bill, Heartbeat, The Professionals and Taggart.
But she made her name in Scotland as High Road superbitch ‘Sam Hagen’ for almost a decade. The soap aired in Australia on ABC1.
She was married to actor David Robb who plays Downton Abbey‘s Dr Clarkson.
