Sarah Harris exits Nine and joins Studio 10
Nine presenter jumps ship to join TEN for their upcoming morning show.

Nine presenter Sarah Harris has jumped ship to join become the third presenter announced for TEN’s Studio 10.
She joins Ita Buttrose and Joe Hildebrand on the upcoming morning show.
Harris has been with Nine for 12 years, this week co-hosting Mornings on Nine while Sonia Kruger is on the Gold Coast for Big Brother.
“Ita is an industry icon and Joe’s a media maverick. Together they are television dynamite. And as a journo, I jumped – actually make that pole-vaulted – at the chance to work with them,” she said.
“I’ve covered my fair share of earthquakes, cyclones and floods over the years, so wrangling Joe everyday will be a breeze.
“(Executive producer) Rob McKnight is, and he won’t mind me saying this, a total TV nerd: he eats, sleeps and breathes it. Combine that with the genius of Adam Boland and Studio 10 promises to be something really special.”
Studio 10 will also have a fourth host and a fifth guest host in rotation.
Rob McKnight said: “She will steer the conversation and set up the topics. She’s warm, smart and very funny. Joe won’t know what’s hit him.”

Are there any clues as to when this and the brekkie show will start?
I think what Adam Boland is trying to do is to pick a different demo for each panelist. But I think the one that’s going to seem out of place on this show will be Ita. If it was the Ita show, I’d be alot more happier. But I think after a while, these younger people will grab the spotlight and might make Ita a bit out of touch. I think a lot of what Ita will say will be against her other panelists views.
Lots of Nine fanbois here. Some make it sound like she died! Maybe she though she wasn’t going anywhere at Nine after 12 years, or saw a massive ‘bone’ coming for her in the near future? Either way, like most ambitious people out there in the working world, she’s taken a gamble.
I feel sorry for any woman over 30 still working in commercial TV.

Things are indeed moving slowly with 10’s morning lineup, possibly because they want Joe to keep up with events, but did they possibly jump the gun with the title ” Studio 10 ” because if the trend continues, ” Studio Nine + One ” may have been more accurate

I agree with effdee. Joe will need to tidy himself up if this show is going to be a success. Just not polished enough for me.
I watched her I think it was yesterday on mornings and I quite like her, good looking, intelligent and I think along side Ita she will blossom. I also think Gretel would be great as a regular guest on the show
Could Gorgi Coghlan be the fourth host for the show? When The Circle ended Ten kept her on as a presenter while Yumi Stynes departed the network.
I guess firstly you would need to ask her if she wanted to relocate her family from Melbourne to Sydney. But it would appear the producers want to give this their own stamp rather than become The Circle 2.0 and that’s understandable.
Nine doesn’t lose anything, just one less person on the payroll.
Hilderbrand is the weakest link for this show, he could harm it’s chances massively.
It sounds like it’s going to be like The Circle which is good news. I would have liked to see Yumi Stynes given another go though. Ita will make a good Barbara Walters though.
Sorry to be negative but I’m not convinced yet. The show really needs another big name to draw in an audience.
Preferably a proven comedian or someone who is quite funny, because this lot look really boring to me.
Nine have lost out losing Sarah.
I think she would have weighed the good vs bad in taking the job. But job satisfaction and working with friends and colleagues won.
I get this feeling 9 is not a very nice place to work for behind the scenes, with all the budget cutbacks and sackings of late.
It means she goes from being the “fill in girl” to a permanent position on her own show that will be given a strong go.
And if it does fail she would fit in with the Ten news team perfectly, she fits the young Sandra Sully mold perfectly.
The nautical equivalent of this move is cancelling your booking on the Queen Mary 2 and setting sail on the Titanic. Silly, silly girl.
I agree with the other, Studio10 is probably going to struggle having Hilderbrand as a part of it. I think Ita will attract the older viewers, Harris the gen X.
Will she continue to replace Sonia on Mornings until Studio 10 starts?? If not my vote goes to Gretel Killeen.
Now all Ten need to do is recruit Rebecca Maddern!! Haha.
Im actually really disappointed for Nine 🙁 She was terrific when she co-hosted Weekend Today and Mornings and when she sometimes presented Sydney’s 6pm news. I actually thought that she would be the perfect replacement for Lelia McKinnon whenever she leaves… Looks like Nine News Now will have to get a new VO for their openers, as Harris did those. Great pick TEN.
That’s a shame. I like Sarah. This show will fail and she will be regretting the decision in no time. Buttrose and Hildebrand….. Couldn’t think of anything worse.
Why would u wanna go from the #1 or #2 network down to #4….. Ten, the network where they celebrate getting 800,000 viewers for a show.
Be really sorry to see Sarah leave ch 9, but wish her the best for her new show on 10.
Signing Ita was a coup but nothing else about he show is a drawcard. I personally find Harris’ presentation style very cold. Gretel Killian would be perfect for this show.
