The three ‘Kims’ rule for Real Housewives of Melbourne

Barrister Gina Liano says the ryle of 3 Kims will help make Real Housewives of Melbourne a hit.

2013-08-08_2215The six stars of The Real Housewives of Melbourne gathered with Brian Walsh, Brendan Moo,  Foxtel and Matchbox Pictures execs and media last night at Level 28 Crown Metropol, to mark the start of production of their new series.

The six women, Chyka Keebaugh, Jackie Gillies, Gina Liano, Andrea Moss, Janet Roach and Lydia Schiavello were handpicked by producers after scouring more than 100 women over 8 months.

Filming has been underway for several weeks.

Barrister Gina Liano (pictured, right) told the crowd, “I was asked whether I had watched any episodes of The Real Housewives, which I hadn’t. But in fact that’s my confession. I had watched Mob Wives.

“I thought about what I could bring to this show,” she said, “and my philosophy is the three Kims. If we can deliver to the Australian audience we’ll have something that rates its head off: Kim Kardashian, Kath and Kim and Kim Catrall.”

Skin Centre specialist Andrea Moss (pictured, left) declared, “We are no-nonsense, hard-working, hot and we’re not going to catfight with sharp nails over the table, we’re going to cut each other down with words. Rock on Melbourne!”

Property developer Janet Roach chimed in with, “I’m very happy to be a part of this. I left my husband at Christmas and I’m having an adventure!”

The series premieres on Arena next year.
