This included a flight with an on-board streaker, who has since become better known as Big Brother‘s Tim.
One of the most talked about artists, Rihanna has become just as notorious for her off stage antics as she is for her music. In her quest to dominate the world of pop, Rihanna set out to make history (and succeeded) in November 2012 when she gave 150 international journalists and 50 die-hard fans the chance to find out what it was like to be a part of the mega star’s entourage. The result was an ambitious tour of seven countries in seven days for seven shows. Now you can find out what went down on the tour with Rihanna 777.
Premiering Sunday September 29 at 8.30pm on Channel [V], this documentary takes you on board the chartered Boeing 777 jet for the whirlwind promo tour to celebrate the release of Rihanna’s seventh studio album, Unapologetic. Globetrotting to seven countries – Mexico City, Toronto, Stockholm, Paris, Berlin, London and New York City – the week-long tour was nothing short of gruelling.
Rihanna 777 is an inside look at this crazy and often turbulent tour, from the sound of popping champagne corks on the plane to all the backstage chaos, performance highlights and behind-the-scenes action of life on the road with Rihanna.
In true Rhi Rhi style, the tour was not without controversy with her media guests and fans declaring a mutiny due to poor conditions (lack of food/sleep and access to the pop star) as well as an inflight streaker.
Rihanna 777 airs on Channel [V] Sunday, September 29 at 8.30pm.
