Airdate: The Man With The Biggest Testicles

Wesley-Warren-4Dear god no….

Seven has picked up that doco The Man With The Biggest Testicles that I told you about in June.

Premiering Wednesday, September 25 at 9.30pm, this intimate documentary tells the extraordinary story of Wesley Warren Jnr as surgeons attempt to cure his extreme scrotal elephantiasis.

Wesley’s story highlights the failings of the American healthcare system, which has arguably some of the best doctors in the world, but only for those who can afford them.

The 49-year-old Las Vegas resident lives with a rare medical condition so severe that he can’t wear trousers, walk normally, go to work, drive a car, have sex, or sit down without the help of a milk crate.

While medical professionals are unsure what caused Wesley’s condition, for him it all started one night in late 2008. Wesley accidentally knocked his testicles while turning over in bed, causing a sharp shooting pain, and the tissues around his testicles began to swell. They’ve been growing bigger ever since.

This is a unique insight into Wesley’s daily struggles, his humiliating encounters and the life or-death operation he faces to cure this shocking ailment.

Revealing the story of how his testicles became so large, the cameras follow Wesley from his cramped Vegas apartment to one of the world’s leading operating theatres, as he embarks on a fierce battle to reclaim his body and his dignity.

The programme meets the trail-blazing surgeon and medical team – many of whom have never seen a case on this scale – and views their cutting-edge procedures first-hand. Will the operation enable Wesley to lead a normal life again?

The Man With The Biggest Testicles was a ratings winner for Channel 4 in the UK, more than doubling the timeslot average with a peak audience of 4.6 million viewers.

  1. Re: Channel 31

Wouldn’t that be sexism? Or some form of extreme dedication if there are no testicles…

    Just kidding. 😉

‘Cos it was funny on their part if not taken literally.

  2. Quality Australian television is dead and will be cremated at a time to be announced …. the ashes will be spread amongst the corporate raiders who have ripped apart and turn Australian television into a sewrage treatment facility …..

  3. The mind just boggles but surely having them removed way before they became this gargantuan problem would have been a simpler and easier solution. Either way, the guy’s got balls to tell his story on TV.
