Festival of [V]

Music festivals from the Isle of Wight, Lovebox, Rockness, and Benicassim will screen as [V] specials in October.

2013-09-30_1702Channel [V] is getting into a festive spirit next month with music specials from around the world branded as Festival of [V] and there are plenty of big name acts.

Isle of Wight 2013 – Friday October 4 at 8pm
One of the UK’s fastest-growing festivals, Isle of Wight 2013 welcomed a wealth of stellar artists to its home at Seaclose Park in June. Over the weekend the main stage saw Bob Geldof reunite with The Boomtown Rats for the first time in 26 years, as well as a much anticipated set from Bloc Party. In this massive 6 hour show catch performances from headliners The Stone Roses, Bon Jovi, The Killers and more.

Lovebox 2013 – Friday October 11 at 8pm
Lovebox 2013 was three days of flamboyant mayhem in the heart of London. Boasting a huge lineup, the festival saw the likes of Azealia Banks, Rudimental, Plan B, Jurassic 5, Kelis, Disclosure, Mark Ronson and more put on killer performances for 50,000 people. In this 2 hour special, catch performance highlights as well as backstage and moshpit action from one of the UK’s most popular festivals.

Rockness 2013 – Friday October 18 at 8pm
A monster of a festival in the beautiful surroundings of Loch Ness, Scotland, RockNess 2013 saw a stellar lineup of some of the world’s best acts take to the stage including, Basement Jaxx, Example, Plan B, Fatboy Slim, Ellie Goulding and more. With relentless beats and a cranking vibe, RockNess has firmly established itself as one one of the UK’s most loved festivals. Channel [V] takes you right into the thick of the action to get a taste of the festival in this 2 hour special, with performance highlights as well as backstage and moshpit action.

Benicassim 2013 – Friday October 25 at 8pm
Some of the world’s biggest artists flocked to perform at Spain’s favourite festival in the beautiful setting of Benicassim. See what went down this year at Benicassim 2013. Featuring electric performances from Dizzee Rascal, Liam Gallagher’s Beady Eye, Jake Bugg, Primal Scream, The Kasier Chiefs and more. Then catch headliners, multi-award winning band, Arctic Monkeys take to the stage for a rocking set of their biggest hits, from ‘I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor’ to ‘R U Mine?’.of the UKs best loved festivals.
