Friday the 13th movies: Free to Air

I could only find one movie this Friday night getting into the spirit of Friday the 13th.

2013-09-11_2200I could only find one movie this Friday night getting into the spirit of Friday the 13th, and that’s the 2009 reboot of -yep- Friday the 13th.

It screens at 11:30pm Friday on ELEVEN and stars Jared Padalecki, Danielle Panabaker, Amanda Righetti, Travis Van Winkle, Aaron Yoo, Derek Mears, Nana Visitor.

A group of young adults set up tents near an abandoned summer camp where a series of gruesome murders are said to have taken place back in 1980, and they soon find out that the legends are true.

  1. it was pretty butchered when I saw it when it premiered, on a Monday no less. I have seen both theatrical and uncut dvd and it was more censored then the theatrical.

would have liked a FTA network to have played some of the others, either Freddy vs Jason, Jason X or Jason Goes to Hell.

or even a few of the old ones, why can’t they ever have a marathon overnight?! it’s always the same old thing on FTA. I bet they won’t even show a Halloween movie on Halloween.

  2. In terms of the tv networks not being able to show full movies because of certain timeslots because of classifications i think that since they are wanting more adult content to be show from 7.30 onwoulds then it would be perfect for the digital channels. i agree that at least 1 channel on each of the commercial networks needs to be kept PG until 8.30 or 9.30pm but channels like ONE,GEM,GO!,11,SBS2,7TWO, 7MATE and ABC2 should be able to show more adult content at 7.30pm. also i know that we have covered this topic already on tv tonight but i am getting sick of tired of the same movies being shown over and over again by the multi channels. As far as Friday the 13th i will give it ago, horror movies not my thing, violence i dont mind but i love my raunchy sexy movies with nudity and sex.

  3. Well you can’t just blame FTA for not showing the R18+ version as none of the movies Foxtel Movies air will be R18+ either due to government legislation (with the only channel in the country allowed to being World Movies). Anyone else think the government is too intrusive regarding ratings? Surely 11:30pm at night is fine for R18+ material. I remember as a kid there were ads for sex hotlines at that time so why not allow horror movies?
