More Arrested Development says Netflix

Ted Sarandos, the company’s chief content officer, said there was “no question” there would be more Arrested Development on Netflix, either as a new series of episodes or a movie. “It is just a matter of when and what form it takes,” Reuters reports.

But Sarandos added that the streaming service was still trying to work out scheduling with the show’s large cast of actors, who are working on other projects.

“It’s still speculative,” he said.

Netflix is adding original programming to lure new subscribers to its video streaming service, which now has more than 37 million customers around the world with House of Cards, Hemlock Grove, and Orange is the New Black amongst its original programming.

The rebooted series airs in Australia on the Comedy Channel.

  1. @Pertinax it wasn’t ideal but I think it worked. However they did say any new content would be the same linear narrative as the original show.

    I personally loved the fact that some stories were not what you thought they were until many episodes later.

    Also as it was for an on demand platform. The idea was that the was no set order. You could watch specific peoples stories through.

  2. The scheduling problems destroyed S4. Jumping around between multiple crazy overlapping subplots all tied together by the narration was an essential part of the show.
