A new series from Stephen Bochco is always worth a mention.
After all this is the writer-producer behind Hill Street Blues, LA Law, NYPD Blue, Over There and Doogie Howser MD.
US cable network TNT has ordered 10 episodes of Murder in the First, featuring Taye Diggs and Kathleen Robertson.
Set in San Francisco and co-created by Eric Lodal, the series follows homicide detectives across one major case across the entire season: the murder of an apparent drug addict with ties to a Silicon Valley mogul.
It will premiere in mid-2014.
Not sure where this may land in Australia but a number of TNT dramas have screened on Nine, plus one or two on Foxtel.

@ matt_897 – thanks for correcting me. In that case, it seems Nine and Foxtel are equal.
@Josh777. Nine had Southland and Men of a Certain Age first but showed it really late at night
@ David Knox – more than “1 or 2” have been shown on Foxtel – Franklin & Bash (FX), Raising the Bar (W), Southland (SoHo); Falling Skies (FOX8); Hawthorne (Universal); Perception (Universal); Leverage (W/SoHo); and Men of a Certain Age (SoHo). If anything there are more on Foxtel than Nine with them only having Rizzoli & Isles, Major Crimes, Dallas, and The Closer.
