Oops. Naomi Watts is not Princess Mary.
What happens when your news strap doesn't match the vision?

Maybe the day before the election news teams are at breaking point…
What happens when your news strap doesn’t match the vision? It was an unfortunate series of stories “Coming Up” on Nine News this morning.
It began with an image and the words “Multi Car Pile Up”
But then we saw the image of the car accident with the words “Diana: The Movie.” Oh dear.
By the time it got to an image of Naomi Watts on the red carpet for said movie, sure enough the news strap was leading with a story on Princess Mary.
You just couldn’t script this kinda stuff…

As @Slam said, I’ve noticed it before on Nine’s Afternoon News.
David! I found where 9 got it’s news for this story:

I cracked up laughing at the “Diana The Movie” one. Am i going to hell?
As Bill Collins would say “watch for the black Mercedes”.
Just too much screen garbage on the “news” these days, but hilarious when they stuff it up, which is quite often.
this seems to happen on 9 a lot more than any other network
Sorry David, that’s not Justin Bieber, it’s missing Adelaide teen Zach Barrott:

Ok I guess that’s my Oops. I have amended thanks.
Whoops!! But kudos to whoever got the Beiber one mixed up!
Bloody hopeless. Why does this keep happening?
