FX The BridgeFX has renewed its US adaptation of The Bridge, based on the Danish series of the same (translated) name.

  1. The second series of Bron/Broen started in Sweden and Denmark last weekend. Our two detectives are reunited after a runaway barge collides with the pilings of the Oresund Bridge. It will be interesting to see how much (if any) of this new series the US series follows.

  2. @Dalamanic.. Far from it. The fact was the story of the Bridge Butcher was bascially retelling the story from “Bron” and now they can move on with its own creative. I have read that the next 2 eps are great (Alan Sepinwell) and set up the series going forward in its own right where the disparity between Mexico ad El Paso really becomes the stroy. Much like Baltimore was a main character in the Wire.

The fact the scenes in Mexico are actually in Spanish I think shows that they arent pandering to a dumbed down audience who dislike reading subtitles and are keen to tell a great story

  3. We watched the latest episode last night.
    It was #11 of 13.
The story wrapped up nicely, so 2 more episodes is crazy.
Can only wrap up minor inconsequential storylines I think. Typical American overkill?
