Returning: Dancing with the Stars

2013-09-23_1154As tipped Dancing with the Stars returns on Tuesday October 1st at 7:30pm -the same night where it originally began before moving to Sundays.

In this sizzling new season there will be glitz, glamour and as always a touch of unpredictability as the exciting line up of celebrity contestants heat up the dancefloor. Celebrities include legendary singersongwriter Tina Arena, Miss Universe Australia Jesinta Campbell, Home and Away actor Rhiannon Fish, TV presenter Sally Obermeder, My Kitchen Rules star Sophia Pou, Olympic Gold medallist Libby Trickett, TV legend Tony Barber, Grand Illusionist Cosentino, Olympic Gold medallist Steve Hooker, Radio personality Brendan Jones and Supermodel twins Jordan and Zac Stenmark. The group will kick up their heels alongside host Daniel MacPherson.

No co-host has yet been officially announced.

Seven’s primetime schedule undergoes a major overhaul next week with the arrival of a number of new and returning US shows.

i wonder if Seven will offer Tony Barber a contract post DWTS. Maybe they may bring back Saaaaaaaaaaaaale of the Century, including Pete Smith. Yes i know i am a bit nostalgic and i know Nine Revived Sale under the name Temptation with Lavinia Nixon and Ed Philips, but i think that the Rebooted Sale would work especially if they get Pete Smith, great voiceover artist.

  2. Brendan Jones is Amanda Keller’s co-host on her morning radio show. It is one of Sydney’s highest rating morning shows, so he has a big pool of people who will potentially vote for him. Only people I haven’t heard of this season is the Stenmark twins, so well done to the casting agents for getting a bunch of well-known people together. On the radio promos for the show, they’ve been saying that the show is returning with two new judges. I know Kim is one of them, no idea who the other new judge is.

  3. Brendan Jones seems like a risk as he is on a Sydney only radio show. Maybe they are going to use him on The Morning Show like he was used every now & then on Nine’s Mornings with Kerri Anne. No national appeal though really.

  4. Once again, Sophia Pou is not and I repeat not a star.
She’s only there cause she was on MKR and they are scraping the bottom of the barrel. She’s an MKR alum, not a star. I have heard of the majority of them, and the majority of them are genuine stars (eg. Tina Arena, Tony Barber, Steve Hooker).
I have never heard of the the Stenmark twins nor Brendan Jones.
