‘Summer Bay’ caught in flamin’ bushfires

Locations popularised in Home and Away were threatened in bushfires north of Sydney yesterday.

2013-09-29_0024Locations popularised in Home and Away were threatened in bushfires north of Sydney yesterday, with Barrenjoey headland  at Palm Beach under attack.

Walkers and sightseers were forced to take refuge at Barrenjoey lighthouse while helicopters water-bombed surrounding buildings and burning scrub.

Two teenagers fishing on the rocks on the Broken Bay side of the headland had to be rescued by police boat.

  1. It would make sense to work this into the storyline unless they are able to keep the fire damages area off screen for some time until regrowth.

    They never worked in the fire at Jackaroo Ranch (Summer Bay House) because I expect they did not want to burn down the most iconic home in the series.
