Airdate: Jamie’s Food Fight Club

A new series from Jamie Oliver pits British food against more traditional European cuisine, and features some big name stars.

jffcJamie’s Food Fight Club, a new series from Jamie Oliver and friend Jimmy Dohertybegins on Thursday on TEN pitting British food against more traditional European cuisine.

There are some big name stars in this 4 part series, although curiously TEN begins from Episode 2.

Jamie Oliver and Jimmy Doherty have been best mates since before school and have always shared a passion for good food. Now that they’re all grown up, they’ve come home to Essex and opened their own little pop-up cafe at the end of Southend Pier called The Food Fight Club, and they have a job to do. Jamie and Jimmy are putting their reputations on the line to prove their grub deserves its place on the world stage. Each week Jimmy and Jamie will be head across Europe in their trusty Ford Capri to pit their British food against the best their European neighbours have to offer.

Along the way, there will be some tasty cooking from Jamie, some foodie science from Jimmy and a lot of laughs with special friends including Gwyneth Paltrow, Alan Carr, Gary Barlow and Jonathan Ross.

In tonight’s premiere episode, Jamie and Jimmy are out to bash the Germans with their sausages when they put the British banger up against the German wurst.

But it’s not all sausage fighting on The Food Fight Club as Gwyneth Paltrow proves when she takes on the boys in some light-hearted competition. Did you know Gwyneth has quite the potty mouth?

7:30pm Thursday on TEN.

  1. Let me guess.. TEN think Episode 2 with Gwyneth Paltrow will bring in more eyeballs than usual to kick start this new Jamie series. Hate to break it to them but I doubt it..
