Ed exits Big Brother as final 5 are sealed

Big Brother's series-long romance finally came to an end after Ed was evicted, leaving 5 for the show's final week.

Blonde bombshell Jade was in tears at seeing her man Ed evicted from the Big Brother house last night, as the show’s series-long romance finally came to an end.

Even Mr. Clooney was distraught by his sudden departure.

All the campaigning by family and friends was not enough to save the hunky Sports Manager from Victoria.

Jade is now one of five remaining housemates vying for the $250,000 prize next Wednesday night, along with Tim, Tahan, Drew and Boog.

But despite his eye-catching physical appearance, there were questions about whether hooking up with Jade had been part of a strategy to get to the end. He denied it.

“I quickly learnt that I wanted show all my vulnerabilities and I get closest to people if I understand their vulnerabilities. I ended up giving everything I’ve got and I’m proud of that,” he said. “It grew naturally and as it progressed it became something I’m very proud of,” he said.

Sonia Kruger asked, “At the Big Brother wrap party if Jade asks you flat out to be her boyfriend, what’s your answer?”

“Jade and I will have a conversation when she gets out, it’s very much wait and see” he replied.

“You should go into politics Edward you are very good at not answering a question,” she told him.

“That’s what Big Brother told me” said Ed.

As previously tipped, Nine stages a double eviction next Monday night before the Grand Final: tipped to be a showdown between Tim, Tahan and Drew.

  2. Drew summed it up when Tahan said she’d like to be a fly on the wall when Jade & Ed were talking, when he said it would be a very bored fly. Glad he’s finally gone. Tonight’s a Halloween special and from the ads it looks like they are going to be shown footage of what’s been said behind their backs, like they did last year. Jade is in for a shock when she sees Ed nominating her and some of the stuff he said about her behind her back about not being interested in her.

    Really want Tim to win, but am worried that nasty Tahan will. Would like to see her and Boog go on Monday.

    @ Alvar- Jade won’t stop talking about Ed but at least we don’t have to see the Jadaconda in action.

  5. Must confess that I have been watching bits and pieces of BB this year.

    And totally agree that Ed was boring. Good looking but boring.

    Jade should be the next to go and then Drew.

    Final 3? Winner – the gorgeous and opinionated Tahan, then that idiot Ted and third the obnoxious Booger.

    One thing for sure – Ten must be kicking themselves that two shows they destroyed a now rating so well at other networks – BB and X factor.

    Oh well – as long as they have the Bolt Report, Gina, Lachlan and Rupert are happy.

  8. I think with Ed, as has been pointed out, he’s got great abs but not guts. He honestly didn’t have the courage to say no to Jade as he really likes to try and tow the line, have a set persona of himself.

    Doesn’t want to do anything to come off bad, or make people not like him. This includes telling a girl infatuated with him that he just isn’t that interested. He was always talking around it.

    Which isn’t good, but he’s a coward and spineless at the end of the day.

    Looks like Tim will win, but I’d rather Tahan wins.

  9. Great twist last night Ed being given the boot. Especially since he threw Jade under the bus weeks ago to try and save himself. He actually looked shocked when his name was called. I think he thought Jade would be exiting. I think if Ed can’t even say properly that he will go out on a few dates with Jade once she’s out of the house and see how it goes, it’s clear he has no intentions of seeing her outside of Big Brother. I also don’t get why they were all calling him Prince Charming. I think that’s a lot to live up to. And to be honest, I don’t think people watching the show, see him like that at all….he’s just a regular guy… with a smoking hot body.

  10. I feel sorry for Jade actually, she obviously has very low self-esteem – Ed just used her to get close to the prize money.
    I really do not like any of the 5 still left in there, and I suspect too that Tim or Tahan were picked to win by the producers weeks ago.
    Boogs and Jade to go on Monday night, I predict.

  12. Ed has treated Jade very badly in my opinion, she initiates everything first with him, and he wasn’t all that upset to be leaving her.
    He mumbled away on stage as usual, we got nothing out of him, you could tell he was angry to be out.
    The thing that annoys me is saying its live, when last night it was only live in Melbourne and Tassie.
    BB is filmed right here in Qld and we don’t even get it live, we are an hour behind.
