Is Avalanche Sharks the next Sharknado?

Online sites are speculating over the trailer for Avalanche Sharks, an absurd terror film in the style of Sharknado.

It doesn’t appear to be a Syfy film, but could easily be accused of being a rip-off. Or jumping on the bandwagon. It’s written by Keith Shaw (Malibu Shark Attack) and directed by Scott Wheeler (Transmorphers), reportedly more of a sequel to Sand Sharks, where the sharks rose from the sea to stalk victims in the sand. IMDb actually indicates a release date of July 2013 and with a different production company to Sharknado, which is getting a sequel.
