ABC3’s next local production Nowhere Boys begins next month and looks like it will hit its target as a contemporary, slightly spooky series for a young audience.
The 13 x 30min series follows four mismatched teenage boys who are paired up for a school hike through a forest. But when they return they discover they have come back to an alternate world where they no longer exist.
It features Joel Lok, Dougie Baldwin, Rahart Sadiqzai and Matthew Testro. You’ll also see some familiar faces in adult roles including Michala Banas, Libby Tanner, Damien Richardson and Heidi Arena.
The series is produced by creator Tony Ayres (The Slap, Underground: The Julian Assange Story) and Beth Frey (Next Stop Hollywood, Dr Sarmast’s Music School) for Matchbox Pictures.
6:30pm Thursday November 7th ABC3.

So good to see a show about teenage boys for a change.
Slack that ABC3 would schedule it against another Aussie drama like Neighbours at 6.30pm. So many other timeslots that don’t have premiere Aussie dramas in them.
