  1. @laska: Unfortunately this was because you are in Melbourne. Channel 9 are only screening the match on their primary channel in the traditional AFL states because they are obliged to according to their broadcast rights contract. They could have put the post-game coverage on the GEM channel for viewers in areas suchas yours, but did not bother to do so. I hope Foxtel are allowed to simulcast both the AFL Grand Final and all the NRL Finals series in coming years when the next broadcast rights come up for renewal.

  2. I live in Melbourne. We didn’t get to see the presentation and whatever else goes on after the game. Everything stopped at about 9:15pm. Just, bam! Done! Very annoying.

  3. For Viewers watching through the Nine and WIN Network stations in VIC/SA/WA and Tasmania, coverage commences at 6.30PM AEDT. (NB:Viewers in the Southern Riverina region of NSW and North East Victoria receiving Albury-Wodonga transmissions, Live coverage of Grand Final Day commences at 1.30PM AEDT while viewers watching in Broken Hill, NSW and the Spencer Gulf Region of SA will receive the same coverage as the rest of NSW starting at 10AM ACST through until approx. 9.30PM ACST.

    Go Manly!

  4. A pity footy fans can’t also enhance their Grand Final viewing experience in High Definition.

Meanwhile, I’ll be at the Stadium so won’t miss Nein’s “viewing experience”.
