Renewed: Drop Dead Diva

US dramedy starring Brooke Elliott has been renewed for a sixth season in the US.

DDDivaUS dramedy Drop Dead Diva has been renewed for a sixth season by US cable channel Lifetime.

The show about a shallow wannabe model who dies in a sudden accident only to return in the body of a plus-sized attorney, has won another 13 episodes.

Starring Brooke Elliott, Margaret Cho, Jackson Hurst, the fifth season ends in the US this weekend.

As far as I can tell the last sighting of DDD in Australia was on GEM in 2011, and that was Season Three.

The show was originally axed in January before being picked up by the female-skewed network.

  1. I gave up half way through S1 when it first disappeared. Then bought S1, 2 and 3 on DVD during the Black Friday sales on Amazon. Will be doing that for the next lot of DVD’s.

  2. Have always kept up to date via other means here. Great show. Great news. Hopefully it gets another outing here in Australia so everyone can appreciate it.

  3. And we can’t Forget that Ten Treated One Tree Hill and 90210 so Badly, I’ve we’ve to see the Final Three Seasons of 90210 although there all realeased on DVD here.

  4. Last I remember seeing was half way through season two… I love the show…but a lost cause trying to watch it here..so much chopping and changing…badly handled by Nine.
