Returning: The Amazing Race

Phil Keoghan is at the starting line for his next Race, coming to Thursday nights.

2013-10-08_1119Phil Keoghan is at the starting line for The Amazing Race once again, coming to Thursday nights from next week.

The show kicks off with “We’re Not In Oklahoma Anymore” at 10pm Thursday October 17 on Seven.

This is several weeks after its US launch (Sept 29) where 3 eps will have aired before the Aussie premiere.

This season, which marks the 23nd race around the world for the series, will bring back the Double Express Pass twist that was introduced last season, in which the first Team to check in at the first pit stop will earn two Express Passes one to keep for themselves one that must be given to another Team by the end of the fifth leg of the Race.

  1. 3 weeks late is no where near good enough. I don’t mind the time slot, as it was never going to get on earlier than that, but it should air within 1 week (so we’re not 3 eliminations behind).

  2. Ch 7 need to take a leaf out of 9’s book and air it hours after the US like they do with Survivor. Hopefully they will show a couple of double episodes to catch up.

  3. Dear Seven, You boned us with the last season by changing timeslots 3 times in the first five weeks (Sun 6:30pm, Sun 5:30pm and then Tuesday).

We *know* you will do this again because 10pm Thursday is not the right slot for this show, and you are not fast tracking the show.

I’m watching this series from “other sources” if you know what I mean.

  4. Finally unfortunately we are now too far behind to allow us to participate in the discussion threads 🙁 and while I’ll be able to watch as I have a good PVR my mum won’t as she doesn’t and 10pm is too late for her

  5. About time!, hopefully Seven doesn’t change timeslots too many times this season, like they have in the past & hopefully down the track, there will be a couple double episodes so we can catch up to the US.

  6. Too late Seven. Two teams have already gone, another by time you start the show. And 10pm Thursday?? It’s a 7.30/8.30 show. I dunno if they are doing another Aussie version (they should) but they can’t expect to treat the US version like crap and then expect viewers for the Aussie one.
