Action series Strike Back was recently renewed fora fifth and final season, to be shot on location in Asia and Europe.
Strike Back  follows the exploits of an elite counterterrorism unit and stars Phillip Winchester, Sullivan Stapleton, Michelle Lukes, Liam Garrigan, Robson Green, Dougray Scott and Milauna Jackson.
Strike Back began as a six part series based on the novel of the same name by Chris Ryan, produced for UK broadcaster Sky1, before HBO/Cinemax became a co-producer.
The most recent season followed the team as they tracked terrorist Al-Zuhari and his conspirators from the jungles of Colombia to Eastern Europe in order to stop a major attack on Western-allied targets.

Still waiting on season 3 and 4 also. Fox8 are running season 2 at the moment, so hopefully won’t be too far off if they have the rights. ABC had this in their schedule last year also but only had season 1 (which at one stage they ran in the same late night timeslot 7 were running season 2…)
That sucks it’s finishing after 5 seasons, as it’s an awesome show, but there’s nothing to stop them hiring 2 new leads who could be introduced in the last couple of episodes.
When are Seven going to show season 3 and 4. I’ve already seen them, but they should air them back to back over the summer break. If they don’t rate, they can move them over to 7Mate.
