Screen Producers Australia awards: winners

Top of the Lake, The Voice and dirtgirlworld were amongst the winners announced at the Screen Producers Australia awards held as part of the Screen Forever conference in Melbourne last night.

Winners were:

Light Entertainment Television Production of the Year: Shine Australia, The Voice

Wentworth script producer and co-creator Lara Radulovich was the recipient of the Screen Australia – Screen Producers Australia Internship.

“Lara has demonstrated an outstanding ability to create engaging Australian drama and this opportunity will enable her to build her skills, knowledge and career at a leading international drama company,” said Screen Australia’s Head of Development Martha Coleman.

“Screen Producers Australia is delighted to partner with Screen Australia through this exclusive internship program,” said Matthew Deaner, Executive Director Screen Producers Australia. “Lara was one of 18 participants in Ones to Watch, Screen Producers Australia’s new professional development program, designed to help give the next generation of producers connections and mentor support with key film and television executives.”

“All participants in Ones to Watch were also given an exclusive opportunity to pitch for $300,000 to produce their own TV series for STUDIO, Foxtel’s arts and entertainment channel,” he said.

Radulovich is currently in co-production on Carlotta for the ABC with Story Ark Productions.
