SPAA rebrands as Screen Producers Australia

Screen Producers body undergoes a name change, timed with its annual Conference in Melbourne this week.

2013-11-18_0100The Screen Producers Association of Australia is undergoing a change, rebranding more simply as Screen Producers Australia.

The new name was revealed to members last week and coincides with the screen industry’s largest media and entertainment conference Screen Forever, which begins in Melbourne tomorrow.

Matthew Deaner (pictured), Executive Director of Screen Producers Australia said “On joining the organisation in November last year I wanted to ensure that we aligned our strategic priorities to our members’ business needs. We undertook extensive member and stakeholder research including a national industry roadshow, to ensure we had thorough insight into the changing needs of our industry, and indeed, our membership.

“This research helped shape our strategic priorities to better support our members’ business interests, create commercial opportunities and to supply expertise to these businesses. The name change and rebrand accurately reflect this strategy and the evolution of who we have become, what our members do, and what we represent.”

This week TV Tonight will be coming to you live from the Screen Forever Conference at Crown, which has an impressive line-up of network execs, Australian producers and international speakers.
