TEN adds tenplay app to Xbox

TEN, ELEVEN and ONE shows on tenplay are now available on Xbox One.

2013-11-22_1137TEN has announced a tenplay app for Xbox One, the first commercial free-to-air network app to do so.

Xbox One users can now access catch-up video and live streaming for TEN, ELEVEN and ONE shows available on the app.

Network TEN Chief Digital Officer, Rebekah Horne, said: “tenplay extends the traditional television watching experience by offering personalised, cross-platform content delivery, designed with the user experience as the top priority. It’s the perfect catch-up platform, giving people a way to access our content wherever and whenever they choose.

“tenplay has been a hit with consumers since it launched and we’re delighted to be able to offer Xbox One users the tenplay experience,” she said.

Viewers can also take advantage of the features offered by Xbox One to navigate the app with their voice or gestures via Kinect, and watch programming at the same time as playing games or using other apps.

The tenplay Xbox One launch is the latest addition to Network Ten’s TV everywhere strategy, which launched in September this year. Further products and services are in development, including a dedicated app for the upcoming XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, in February 2014.

Foxtel, ABC and SBS also have also Xbox applications.
