An upcoming NBC drama, which is one of TEN’s big hopes for 2014, has halted production for 8 days.
Hostage/political thriller drama Crisis stars Gillian Anderson and Dermot Mulroney, and along with The Blacklist has been considered NBC’s strongest drama pilots.
The unplanned hiatus began on Friday after production was wrapped on the fifth episode after the pilot.
Deadline reports the reasons for the stoppage as “course correction,” with writers using the time to tweak storylines and work on scripts. There also will be some reshoots done on completed episodes.
It reports there has been concern recently that subsequent episodes were veering from the direction of the pilot, which led to the decision to take a break and try to fix it.

I don’t see how this is newsworthy since it’s not even on screen yet. Isn’t this sort of stuff quite normal for new shows and programs that have not hit screens yet?
