Adam Hills will host 4 celebrity editions of a revived UK quiz format, Fifteen to One for Channel 4.
The popular question and answer show hasn’t been seen on British television for 10 years, after a long run from 1988 to 2003.
Hills recently hosted a one-off celebrity Fifteen To One in September for C4.
Following Hills’ 4 specials, Sandi Toksvig will then host a run of 20 episodes for daytime television.
“I am thrilled to be part of the ongoing institution that is Fifteen To One. The celebrity specials combine two of my favourite things – general knowledge questions, and the chance to watch well-known people try not to make d*cks of themselves in public,” said Hills.
He recently announced no return of Adam Hills Tonight in Australia next year noting it was “important to recharge” to come up with new material.
He will return with Adam Hills: The Last Leg next year.

What I remember of 15 To 1 is a decent intellectual quiz show with not much opportunity for an enigmatic host like Hills to exercise his presence. Would be interesting to see if format tweaking makes the most of him.
He’s supposed to be doing another series of The Last Leg to run alongside the Winter Paralympics, so I guess ABC will probably air that.
When I was in London last month I was passing HMV on Oxford Street, and who should peer at me from the shop window but Adam Hills selling a comedy DVD. Hills is on the cusp of becoming a real fixture in British show business, not just the funny colonial, and I say, good luck to him, he deserves all the kudos. If that means that Australian TV loses him, well make sure Hillsy you remember the little guys who got you where you’re going.
