Ashes scores summer ratings week for Nine
Ratings: Nine wins the week, including their first in Adelaide since taking ownership of NWS9.

The Ashes have drawn bumper audiences for Nine, winning its first (non) ratings week from Seven in quite some time.
Allowing for some strategic OzTAM coding, the highest audience was Session 3 on Sunday (a week ago) at 1.58m viewers.
Seven’s best was Seven News (Sunday) at 1.08m viewers.
Nine won Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide (their first since taking ownershipof NWS9) but Seven retained ever-loyal Perth.

It was also an easy win for Nine in the demos 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.
Nine won Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday while Seven ranked first on Monday and Tuesday. ABC bettered TEN on Sunday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday while both tied on Wednesday.

Given that Perth is the only capital city which doesn’t have prime time cricket, its not a surprise that it went to Seven.
Will be interesting to see how the Big Bash rates, starting this Friday. Maybe Ten might have their first win of the year some time soon.
Not a great surprise Nine won the week considering the Ashes Cricket was on in prime time on the east coast.
How long before Nine work out that they need to negotiate moving Perth to the 1st Test so that it actually counts towards prime-time ratings in the east?
