Although there are no originals left in the cast, the longest-standing principal is Rudy Wade played by Joe Gilgun.

Misfits follows a group of young offenders in a community service programme who receive supernatural powers during a freak electrical storm. Season 4 ended with a cliff-hanging climax after the Misfits team discovered Nadine’s real super power. Fans eyes were glued to TV screens during the final scenes of the season as Alex underwent surgery to receive a donated lung. The final season promises fans of Misfits plenty of twists and turns with new characters, sizzling romances and shocking surprises worth staying in for.

Thursday January 2nd at 8.30pm on Syfy.

I do think this cast is as strong as the original and the characters themselves are very well written, but although it was fun the storylines just weren’t really there in the way they used to be – although it’s still one of the strongest UK dramas around and didn’t go off the boil in the way Shameless or Skins did towards the end.

  2. @Jduder, really? Season was good, sure, but the finale was absolutely horrible. I felt really let down. No real build up to the last episode ever, and was not epic whatsoever, which it should have been. There were way better epic finales/episodes in previous seasons. Should have gone out with a bang
