Southern Star to rebrand as Endemol Australia
Southern Star will rebrand in line with the Dutch-based company it first partnered with in 2000.

Production company Southern Star Entertainment will rebrand as Endemol Australia.
Southern Star first partnered with the Dutch-based company in 2000, producing shows as Endemol Southern Star before a 100% buyout in 2009 as Southern Star Entertainment.
Chief Executive Officer Janeen Faithfull, said, “As Endemol Australia we’ll continue to build on the heritage and successes of Southern Star.
“Since the 70’s this company has had several different incarnations and has evolved through the decades with a strong and valuable identity in drama and children’s programs, and more recently in factual, reality and entertainment. We now produce content across all genres.
“Today we continue to be one of the most successful and prolific production companies in Australia and we belong to the Endemol group, the world’s largest independent production company, with around 90 companies in over 30 countries. We’re proud of that association.”
One of the country’s largest production houses, Endemol Australia’s current slate of programs include Offspring, Puberty Blues, Party Tricks, Gallipoli, Big Brother, When Love Comes to Town, Crash Test Mummies and Daddies, Legally Brown, Hairy Legs and In Your Dreams.
Endemol is owned by Italian media conglomerate Mediaset.
The rebranding process will be in full effect by February.

Wait my bad. Ignore that last comment. Confusing Southern Cross with Southern Star.
So its going to be Endemol Ten now in the regional areas? That sounds weird.
