7 Comments:

  1. I’ll admit when I saw the double computer symbols on the News for the Big Bash I decided not to bother watching it. I wish they’d just choose to put up the Ten symbol only (as well as on all their shows if they must do it or the equivalent channel symbol ) . Probably a hopeless wish.

I want to thank the ABC for the News also Nine for the Ashes. I will admit I thought the ABC would somehow convince me not to watch the New Years Eve celebrations. I just didn’t expect it to happen during the Doctor Who credits.

Other than that I really loved and appreciated that they played Doctor Who on Boxing Day as well as Call the Midwife. Just brilliant especially for the viewers that love the shows.

Lastly but not least I wish to thank Eleven for Star Trek:DS9 .

  2. TEN’s commentary of the Big Bash is awful.
The previous matches have rated ok, maybe it was the Dr Who special impacting a bit on its numbers. The numbers it’s getting are ok, at least it’s some eyes on the network, but the commentary is awful. Turns people like me away.

  3. Jimbo k,
I disagree. I think the Big Bash cricket ratings are poor.
Dr. Who, Border Security and Getaway all out rated it. Although after watching test cricket all afternoon, most real cricket fans probably needed a break. I think TEN’S camera work and commentary are pretty ordinary too!
Nine’s cricket coverage this year on the other hand, is excellent.

  4. Interesting to see Channel 9’s cricket ratings. But I just want to know why they did not split into session 1, session 2 and session 3 separately.
Can you give me ratings for session 1 , session 2 and session 3 for all 5-cities?

  5. Looks like that the Ashes’ ratings are an average of the day, rather than splitting up the figures into 3 sessions. Nine picks and chooses which tests it does that too? Either way, it did great figures.

Good numbers for the cricket on Ten too. Cricket fans must love this. All day cricket. lol.

Sydney to Hobart race did well for the lunchtime slot too. And against the cricket.
