The Comedy Channel will be showing one “late night” program, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, next month.
But it won’t be broadcasting Late Night with Seth Meyers, which succeeds Fallon.
In 2009 Jimmy Fallon took over the Late Night legacy started by David Letterman and Conan O’Brien and premiered Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Fast forward 5 years and now he’s taking over television royalty in Jay Leno and the reigns of an institution that is The Tonight Show. With house band The Roots continuing the journey from Late Night to The Tonight Show, Jimmy and the team are set to continue to deliver a stand out talk show with top guests, sketch comedy and the very best in contemporary music. Join The Comedy Channel weeknights at 11pm for the best in celebrity talk, comedy and music Express from the US.

It actually starts on Comedy Tuesday Feb 18…one day behind the U.S.
I’m yet to be supplied with a new date.
That’s a shame, I was looking forward to Seth Meyers, but it’s good they will be showing Fallon. Yes I hope he lasts longer than Conan. Don’t thing NBC need to go through that farce again. That said I prefer Conan and still pissed Nine didn’t renew the contract.
Fallon isn’t a patch on Leno .Would love to see Seth Myers
As part of the new deal, express from the US means a week and a bit later.
Rumour has it that Leno has been approached by another network. Irrespective, I can’t see NBC not going ahead with this new combination for at least a year.
Not fussed on Seth Myers, Fallon is OK, but it is a shame they don’t reacquire the rights to Jimmy Kimmel which they showed briefly a few years back with Leno & Fallon.
Good news, but why can’t The Comedy Channel also get the rights to broadcast Conan or Late Night with Seth Meyers?.
Also Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show will actually begin on Monday February 17 in the US, so does this mean Australian viewers will miss out on the first week?
That’s very poor from the Comedy Channel. It’s not like they have so much quality programming they can’t fit it in.
I like Fallon so I am glad he got a promotion.
Great news. No big loss that they won’t be showing Late Night with Seth Meyers. Let’s just hope Jimmy doesn’t get the poor treatment Conan received.
