A $200 million redevelopment of Nine’s Willoughby headquarters as 450 apartments has received approval from the Department of Planning (NSW).
But residents from the Willoughby Area Action Group is organising a meeting on February 11 in response.
Fairfax reports the Planning Assessment Commission will hold a public meeting as the final opportunity for the public to voice concerns before a decision is made, in the next two months.
The original plan for around 600 apartments and high-rise towers have been modified after local reaction.
When the network moves, it is expected to look at areas around the Australian Technology Park at Redfern or in Pyrmont.
A Nine spokesperson said that wouldn’t be anytime soon, Â adding ”no For Sale sign yet”.
Nine’s former GTV9 site in Richmond already has residents in its new apartments.
One Response
As long as Nine don’t end up with a Martin Pl situation like Seven (lack of space, one studio etc) the move will be a good option for the network, that will give new facilities and capital to further improve there offering.
