Seinfeld reunion not for Super Bowl

That Seinfeld ‘reunion’ triggered recently by photos of him with Jason Alexander outside Tom’s Restaurant in New York, presumed by many to be part of a shoot for a Super Bowl ad. Or an episode of “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”

Seinfeld told WFAN’s “Boomer & Carton” show they weren’t filming either, but he also said it’s “not not those things, either. It’s a secret project.”

In a 20 Questions-style interrogation, here’s what else he said:

“Yes it was. It was filmed.”

Were other Seinfeld characters involved?
“Yes there were.”

Was it a short-form or a long-form filming?
“It’s a short-ish form.”

Was Jason Alexander playing George or himself?
“George.”

“He was involved.”

Was he on camera?
“No.”

Was his voice heard?
“No.”

When will we see this?
“Very, very soon.”

“I think it’s one-and-done.”

“Yes.”

Was Jason surprised to get the phone call for this?
“No, he remembers that he played that character for many years. He was not surprised that he was asked to play George.”

“No, there were other locations.”

“No.”
