Veronica Mars: the movie: trailer

Video: She's back. Thanks to Kickstarter, we now have the official trailer for Veronica Mars.

We’ve had a teaser and selected footage, but now the movie version of Veronica Mars finally has an official trailer.

There are some good lines in this, so it’s an encouraging sign of a successful revival.

What’s really heartening about the pet project is the way fans jumped aboard the Kickstarter campaign and effectively financed the movie.

The US cinema release is March 14, 2014, the one year (+1 day) anniversary of the start of the Kickstarter project.

  1. Season 1 was amazing television and something new. Season 2, while still great, got too confusing and made the mistake many television series do in their second season by overcomplicating the initial plot and giving secondary characters extra screentime in b-plots that aren’t that interesting IMHO. Season 3 was still great, but dragged a little by the end. And the fact we never got a proper send-off annoyed me to no end. This movie looks amazing so hopefully it holds up. Can’t wait 🙂

  2. I disagree with all of you, season 3 was the best of the series. The mysteries of the ‘rapes of Graff’ and who murdered the Dean of students were engaging and I much preferred Veronicas new love interest Piz to Logan. The movie should be good value

    1. Show Tags will bring up VM stories and Search will also assist. I’ve always endeavoured to make the site as user-friendly as possible. You’ll get exactly the same results I would using these methods, thanks.

  3. For every deacade there are always shows that you didn’t watch that in hindsight, you kinda wish you did. For the 00s, Veronica Mars is one of those for me. The movie looks good.

  4. Series 3 wasn’t as strong, but that was more to do with network intefernce. The WB merged with UPN and became the CW. They also wanted VM to take a break mid season so they decided on two story arcs rather than a big overall one. I think it worked, only problem was they did less episodes so some of it was rather rushed. It felt like two seasons jammed into one. They also had characters come and go a lot more. Wallace and Mac disappeared a lot. Although I guess Wallace did in season 2. I think this movie will work and if anything will have more appeal. Not just to fans, but to newcomers.

  5. Rather like ‘Buffy’ (to which it has many other similarities), ‘Veronica’ was never as entertaining once the characters left the pressure cooker of high school-VM and her buddies are now adults so this couldn’t have the same appeal.
