SBS screens a 3 part documentary series on motoring history, featuring Luther actor Idris Elba
Idris Elba takes pole position as he lines up to take the drive of his life in a revelatory, adrenaline-fuelled two-part BBC documentary.Â
Charting the colourful origins and secret history of the car racing scene, he travels far and wide in search of the real story. It’s an international driving tour that will take him from his door step in London to the racetracks of America via the Scottish Highlands and the Arctic plains of Finland, where dark nights and snow have created a legion of young racers. As he travels the world, he will reveal the unexplored political, social and historical circumstances connecting the early stories of the boy racer from the American prohibition era, through to our modern day driving culture. Â
Idris Elba: King Of Speed begins 7:35 pm Monday March 3rd,  SBS ONE.
Strip The City is out of schedule.

Watching this now on SBS and one thing I realized is the UK release was 57 min so obviously SBS got an edited version down to about 50 mins for there usual 9 minutes of ads they usually have.
Unusual that SBS drops a show, and given the first season only had 6 eps surly this could have waited 3 more weeks?
“SBS screens a 3 part documentary..”
“a revelatory, adrenaline-fuelled two-part BBC documentary”
That’s confusing.
