Foxtel’s new modelling series The Face Australia, starring Naomi Campbell,  Nicole Trunfio and Cheyenne Tozzi will premiere at 9.00pm Tuesday, March 18 on FOX8.
Hosted by acclaimed photographer Georges Antoni, the locally produced, eight-part series hunts for a model to become the face of a major brand.
Viewers will be given unprecedented access inside the world of the fashion industry, as these supermodel coaches use the lessons and skills they have learned in their careers to mentor a team of aspiring models through various real life assignments, including photo shoots and commercials.
At the end of the series, one lucky girl will claim the title of The Face Australia and become the face of Fresh Effects by Olay – a new, younger label by the world’s number one skincare brand Olay. Earning a real contract as the brand ambassador, the winner will launch the product to the Australian market and front a national advertising campaign.
The Face is a successful global format that first launched on the Oxygen Network in the US in February 2013. Hosted by photographer Nigel Barker, the series saw Naomi competing with Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha to find The Face of ULTA Beauty, one of the fastest growing beauty retailers in the United States.
Following on from the hype of the US version, the series soon spread to the United Kingdom with Naomi taking on British model Erin O’Connor and Swedish beauty Caroline Winberg.
A second season of The Face US will premiere in America in early March, and sees Kurkova and Rocha replaced by two new mentors – Anne V and Lydia Hearst.
Produced by Shine Australia exclusively for Foxtel, The Face Australia finished filming late last year and will air exclusively on FOX8 from Tuesday, March 18.
