December Media exec appointment

December Media (The Doctor Blake Mysteries, Mrs Biggs, Hidden Universe 3D) has appointed former WTFN Commercial Director, Heath Watt as its new Managing Director.

Tony Wright, December Media’s Executive Chairman, said, “I’m very proud of December Media’s growth and output across drama, factual and Giant Screen films over the last few years. However, I want the company to continue to expand and Heath’s business background and expertise is going to allow us to do this. I’m very excited about Heath joining the company and I’m looking forward to working with him.”

Heath Watt added, “December Media is a company with fabulous creative instincts and an ability to deliver outstanding content. Mrs Biggs and The Doctor Blake Mysteries are recent testaments to these attributes.

“The company has shown great innovation over the last couple of years with its move into Giant Screen content, culminating in the release of Hidden Universe 3D. I am extremely excited by the opportunities of this format.”

The former TEN and ABC exec begins in March.
