Hunters & Collectors is one of the most prolific bands in Australian music. With a history spanning over thirty years, the multi-platinum selling rock outfit has forged a lasting legacy with their music. This documentary utilises a wealth of archival footage as well as recent interviews to showcase the journey of this iconic band from their blistering first live shows to how they became one of the most influential groups in Australian music. The result: the real inside story of Hunters & Collectors.

Featuring interviews with all the band members as well as key music industry identities, MAX The Artist’s Story: Hunters & Collectors covers a collection of highlights from the group’s career. From the formation of the band, their breakthrough and the legacy of Throw Your Arms Around Me, their disbandment and subsequent one-off reunion for Sound Relief in 2009, the Hunters & Collectors tribute album ‘Crucible’ (which features covers by the likes of Eddie Vedder, Neil Finn and The Avalanches), to their recent reunion and 2014 tour.
