2014-02-02_1628SBS 2’s Movie Mayhem with Marc Fennell has changed nights this year, no longer screening on Saturdays but switching to Wednesdays.

The first film this week is Sky Fighters from 2005.

Host of The Feed and popular film critic Marc Fennell is back in 2014 to present the best in cult, action, thriller and horror movies from around the world on Wednesday nights on SBS 2.

Sky Fighters French film Skyfighters is a slick, high energy action film directed by Gérard Pirès and stars Benoît Magimel, Clovis Cornillac and Géraldine Pailhas. When terrorists hijack a mirage 2000 fighter plane, ace pilots ‘Walk’n’ Marchelli and ‘Fahrenheit’ Vallois are assigned to find it. But shooting down an Al Qaeda kamikaze is only the beginning.

Wednesday, 5 February at 8.30pm on SBS 2.

  2. @David Knox: Unfortunately romance period dramas are not my cup of tea (as you can see from the movies I listed – mostly action, thriller and horror)

    There are so many great Chinese/HK/Korean/Japanese films that are screaming to be shown on TV here, from stuff like Blind Detective to the Vengeance trilogy (may need editing), what about the C+ trilogy with Aaron Kwok? Ip Man trilogy? Thai horror Ladaland? Japanese thriller Lesson of the Evil? Anything else from Andy Lau or Donnie Yen (Firestorm – yes even though its still in cinemas, or Special ID)

    Come on SBS – there is more to world cinema than Europe
