Returning: The Simpsons

A new season of The Simpsons has finally been scheduled by TEN, now on a new night.

2014-02-06_2311A new season of The Simpsons has finally been scheduled by TEN (and yes it’s on TEN not ELEVEN).

But it also moves to a new night: 6pm Saturdays from February 22nd.

The first episode parodies Homeland, and includes guests Kristen Wiig and Elisabeth Moss.

“Homerland”
Kristen Wiig guest-voices in the season premiere episode as an intense, high-strung FBI agent whom Lisa enlists for help when she suspects that something sinister has happened to Homer.

Meanwhile an M rated unaired episode “What Animated Women Want” also airs 8:30pm Wednesday 12th February on ELEVEN.

In this special adults only episode, Milhouse takes on a Marlon Brando-inspired bad-boy persona to attract Lisa after watching “A Streetcar Named Desire”. Meanwhile, Homer tries to save his marriage by becoming a better man.

  1. Talk about silliest timing ever. Most of your younger generation work at night on a Saturday or are out with friends and don’t get home till after 7pm.This will kill them. What they should have done is after George Negus got the axe for good put the fresh ones on nightly on 10.

  2. Speaking of new episodes, can someone at Channel 7Maaaaaaaate please tell their Prime affiliate to stop advertising Family Guy and American Dad as new episodes. New is not the repeated many times earlier episodes.

  3. keep it on Eleven where it belongs, they have plenty of slots free and better then 6pm Saturday. my Tivo said 2 eps on Eleven on this Sunday were new eps, I looked up the episodes and they are the last 2 of Season 24 (the last season). perhaps they didn’t air them on Ten, I don’t know.

  4. @Aussie_Austridge – Ten’s image is already well and truely trashed.

Fast-tracking Simpsons into a decent timeslot might have actually helped Ten’s image. Instead they persisted with A League of Their Own…

  5. So TEN are showing this episode which completely cruelled the Homeland series after TV Tonight and social media circulated the “Homerland” opening titles. Hasn’t this show caused enough damage already?

It’s gone way beyond a joke now and TEN should stop trashing their image and give their shattered network a chance of rehabilitating itself by taking this disgusting and outdated show off the air altogether.
