21 Comments:

  1. Sytycd is a very good show. We will watch it live and record the other channels now our ONE addiction is over until F1 starts.
American Idol will also be on our live viewing list.
Fat Tony = fat chance of sucking us in.
Strange ratings results 🙁 very sad to us.

  2. Interesting that despite the star-power, no mention in the top 20 for the Beatles special over 3 channels on Foxtel. Maybe it was the viewership split into 3, plus the 2 hr delay screenings or the time lag since US broadcast (people watching by other means?) or perhaps music concerts just don’t rate, the music has to be embedded in a drama. Anyone know the aggregate viewers it did pull?

  3. SYTYCD was terrific last night.

Carrie was a delightful host, the judges offered constructicve criticism and heaps of encouragment and support to the dancers.

The talent – exceptional. I think Sam the farm boy will be the sentimental favourite.

Robbie Williams – always entertaining and lovely to see no lip synching.

And Jesse Tyler Ferguson – hilarious.

A polished production and for a live show it clocked in to just under 2 hours. MKR and The Block were filmed months ago and both of those constantly run over time.

So sad it rated so badly last night. I predicted 500K but those figures are dreadful.

The problem lies squarely with Ten management who premiered the show against two – woeful – but proven hits.

And who the heck decided to put MF repeats before SYTYCD?

For a fraction of the million dollar salaries these execs get – I would have put two new eps on…

  4. Good ratings for everybody- you can see the weather is cooling off, and people are watching; Except for channel 10. It is time to move, SYTYCD to Thursday night at 7.30pm. Less competition!! Than move Biggest Loser to start Sunday night, Monday, and Tuesday, with Modern Family on Wednesday night. Biggest Loser already being slaughtered by MKR and the Block, so why not? Nothing to lose!!!

  5. Wow….Dance figures are bad. Clearly the concept of the olympics has not worked for ten to bring new viewers. I suppose Puberty Blues will give further indication of this.

Dance live performance show was big budget by TEN standards….but no wow factor. Carrie was OK….but clearly not used to working in front of a big audience…come on Carrie…..pump us up…..get excited!

This show needs to move to another mid week slot for survival sake. And replace it with a family Movie.

It cannot stay where it is against the competition.

Please do not move it to a digital channel as it needs another chance to survive.

  6. Ten’s woeful performance started with the woefully rating have you been paying attention – this was a real risk and TEN knew it could probably fail – extremely bad decision to play it – and we now know if they play it again next week they are nothing but fools …..

  7. So sad SYTYCA ratings are so low. It was a great episode with some great dancing. On the other hand it was Tens highest rating show for sunday, Im not sure anything they replace it with will do any better. What I find amazing is that 8 out of 10 people I worked with last night watched SYTYCA, must be that people in the health industry like dancing!

  8. The IQ was working overtime last night. It gave us time to watch SYTYCD and surprised at how good it was! A nice cameo from Jesse Tyler Ferguson and a great live performance for Robbie Williams. Shame the numbers are down but hopefully word of mouth will start to push it in the right direction! Aaron Cash does need to tone it down a tad.

  9. Wow SYTYCD. The change in timeslot did little to improve its ratings, I really enjoyed it too. TEN News was also poor.

I wonder what are the changes of an Idol revival after the poor showing here.

  10. Fat Tony didn’t rate as I expected. I was a little disappointed watching it wasn’t as good as i hoped. However SYTYCD is not a good show and no one watches it except people on here and the ratings don’t lie. I knew it should never have come back. If 7 took this show they couldn’t make it work so what chance does 10 have making it work.

Ten should just become a low budget network that only does reruns cut all costs and its ratings wont go down much. At least it will be a chance to be profitable.

  11. Well done Sunday night .. Really good interview with inxs, and nine must be pleased with fat Tony’s ratings .. But dear or dear ten .. Those figures are just dreadful. What can they do?
