The future of US drama series White Collar is unclear with reports that talks with USA Network and producers FOX TV Studios have stalled.
Season 5 ended in the US two weeks ago with a cliffhanger for its star Matt Bomer. Pre-Production normally gets underway in March but there are reports the network has been considering a short miniseries to wrap the story, similar to The Big C shortened season.
All of USA’s other key dramas – Monk, Burn Notice, Psych and In Plain Sight – have received a proper send-off  with producers advised at the time of the final renewal so they can plan.
Deadline suggests FOX TV Studios is willing to shoulder the cost of a final season and is open to a lower license fee, while USA network is intent on bringing the show back in some form.
The show airs in Australia on ONE.

I’m so confused as to where I am up to with this show thanks to TEN / ONE’s scheduling. I’m hoping a Foxtel channel will pick it up soon. It used to be on SoHo but haven’t seen it anywhere for quite some time.
@Greg7 Yes One did screen the last episode of Series 4, and not started Season 5 yet.
Good show and thanks for keeping us updated. I would like to show to go out on a high, with no cliff hangers. They had the chance at the end of series 3 with the first episode of series 4, with both Neal and Mozzie on an island paradise.
Did One even finish screening season 4 and when will they screen season 5, which I’ve already seen.
I gave up on watching WC on free to air TV, after Ten – One kept taking way too long to screen the show.
Thank you for keeping us updated
Like Psych, this show is ready to end. The cliff hanger episode could have finished 10 mins earlier and wrapped up the series well.
