  1. Secret Squirrel

@WolfieBoy – well, as has been noted, the broadcast deal is for only 6 events to be shown on Network Ten, plus the Aus GP (which may be an official round next year).

  2. Thank you to the ABC for the News and Richard Hammond.

I did watch Downton despite the ridiculous time and tried not to read the stuff telling me not to watch things during it. But I am still grateful I could watch it despite that. Because I do realise how easy it is for me to be killed as a viewer. Also thank you for the Castle repeats. I’m lucky I’m a late night viewer. I also liked the promos in the ad break. Including the one next week the ABC did for 7.30pm. Plus Seven finally stating Resurrection will start on Tuesdays.

  3. I said I won’t follow it if they don’t show all races. At this stage nobody knows what will happen. So I will have to see.
I would never have Foxtel so if they show some races only on Foxtel I will not bother at all with V8’s. 🙂

  4. F1 GPrix was excellent and very good coverage. Ten has built this up to be a winner. Who cares if no.’s were combined, the figures are excellent and Ten should be very happy.

Now let’s see what they do next year with the V8 racing. If they show it in HD as well it will become more popular that it is now.

SYTYCD was shifted to Thursday night as suggested by many active posters on David Knox’s Blog. Ten have listened and picked a night where the show will have a chance as it is excellent. 🙂

  5. Secret Squirrel

Rake descended into farce last night. Did we really need to have him put Felicity into hospital and consequently be interviewed by the police a third time? Still, I was quite enjoying it right up until the moment the sports doctor pulled the gun out in the church and held it to his bride-to-be’s head. That stretched credulity even for Rake.

  6. @ David – thanks for the clarification. Although I see the sensibility behind combining the numbers, it doesn’t do ONE any favours given it is one of the lowest rated multichannels as is, and can use all the free publicity as possible. Will be interesting to see how TEN plan to rebrand it after the Commonwealth Games.

  7. matthutchinson10

Good numbers for the Carlton, Port Adelaide game on fox and I’m sure it would’ve rated well on seven in Adelaide. Perhaps Sunday night AFL and NRL gams will be become more frequent in years to come.

  8. Thought that MKR would suffer last night with the truck as it does not seem to be very popular, but did not realize that it was not shown in Adelaide, hence the lower ratings so it still did quite well and 7 still won the night even though it was marginal.

  9. @ David – so if TEN merged the numbers for the F1 which ups their primary channel figures, how do we know the numbers that are attributable to ONE? Or do we simply have to go by the channel share?

  10. jezza the first original one

great numbers for the gp and excellent coverage, yeah they had to do some prono stuff, which we expect, but overall very well done ch10

  11. Guessing TEN rolled ONE HD’s GP numbers into their numbers, so we can probably guess there was 400,000-500,000 watching the race in HD on ONE?

  12. Wow, the lowest numbers for MKR in ages.
The challenges involving the restaurant in the truck seem to be the least popular with viewers, probably because it is too much like Masterchef.
Last night’s episode of Rake was a corker, from start to finish – good that the program got a good ratings number.
