Big Brother is on the hunt for new housemates, and this year you can nominate somebody else on their behalf.

BB Tim Winner - 13Big Brother has announced details of its housemate hunt for 2014, stretching to all states and territories except the Northern Territory.

This year it will also throw the casting open for you to nominate someone else for casting consideration.

According to Big Brother, applicants should upload a video of themselves before attending an audition venue if they really want to be noticed.

Big Brother is constantly hearing people say, ‘I have a friend who would be brilliant in the House.’ So this year, in addition to the national Housemate Hunt, a call is going out for Australia to Nominate a Mate by putting forward a friend, work colleague, family member or acquaintance who they think would make an interesting Housemate. This is a perfect opportunity to suggest a professional or a parent who may believe they are too busy to audition – and the best applicants will be fast-tracked without the need to wait in line.

Big Brother says, “Now is the time to speak up, and Nominate a Mate. Big Brother will watch EVERY video; Big Brother will read EVERY nomination and Big Brother WILL fast-track 500 potential Housemates that pique my interest!”

  8. @ J Bar – there hasn’t been a bogan on the show since 2008. But you would know that if you watched it. I wouldn’t be the only one who has noticed that you comment about how terrible the show is every single time David writes an article about it. I also wouldn’t be the only one who also reads Mediaspy and notices that you write exactly the same comments over there too. You must be an incredibly smart and highbrow man – why don’t you click the link above, become a Housemate, and save Australia the pain of another series of “bogans”.
