Dutch Wentworth remake off to strong start

The Dutch remake of Wentworth lifts its time slot by 66% for broadcaster SBS6.

2014-03-05_1532Celblok H, the Dutch remake of Wentworth, is off to a strong start for Netherlands broadcaster SBS6.

The show won an audience of 1.2 million viewers, up 66% on the average numbers for the time slot, which usually screens a movie or US drama.

It was the #1 show of the day on SBS6 and #2 in its time slot behind long-running consumer report, Radar on Ned.1.

However Ned 1’s prime time average is usually over twice that of SBS6,

Celblok H still came in at #6 across all channels.

SBS6 is said to be “overjoyed” with the result.

Meanwhile a German remake begins production this month.
